Welcome to McKenzie210.ca

Our Goal is to contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

How do we manage to achieve this?

Through a series of weekly Meetings, outings and expeditions where, as a young person grows and develops, so does the level of activity and challenge provided. Everything we do is geared toward the age and ability of the individual, encouraging them to learn new skills and ‘grow’ in their knowledge of themselves and the world around them – particularly in the role they have to play in society.

Who is Scouting open to?

Anyone from the age of five to seventeen can be a youth Member of the Scouts, be they male or female. A Scout Group is divided into 5 Sections, which enable its Members to work with people of a similar age. These sections include Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers.

All our Leaders and organizers are volunteers!

You can become a Leader or if that's not what you wish to be, you can join either our Parent Committee or our Group Committee. Parent Committee is a group of our parents that organize and help out at various events. The time each volunteer puts in is as flexible as their schedule allows. Group Committee is a group of Parents and Leaders that govern the group in many aspects, financial, fundraising, inventory management, etc.

As many of you realize, it takes a lot of time and effort by many individuals to ensure that we have programs for your youth that they will enjoy and learn from. As with any group of volunteers, people come and go. There is always room for more help within the Group. Should you be interested in helping out, or just want to ask more questions, please contact Lee Bradford at GroupCommissioner@McKenzie210.ca.
